New York Digital Investment Group pagará la franquicia Houston Rockets de la Asociación Nacional de Baloncesto en bitcoin como parte de una asociación destinada a promover la educación y la adopción de las criptomonedas.
En un anuncio realizado el 16 de noviembre, los Houston Rockets dijeron que el Grupo de Inversión Digital de Nueva York (NYDIG) se convertiría en el socio de servicio y plataforma oficial de Bitcoin (BTC) para el equipo. Como parte de la asociación, NYDIG planea referirse a algunos de los asientos premium de los Rockets en el Toyota Center en Houston como “Bitcoin Suites”.
El acuerdo con NYDIG parece ser parte de una estrategia más amplia para el propietario de los Rockets, Tilman Fertitta, quien también es presidente y director ejecutivo de Landry’s Restaurant Group. La semana pasada, la compañía anunció que estaba implementando un programa de recompensas de BTC para sus restaurantes y ya está implementando opciones de pago de BTC.
